Magnetic Variable-Effort Power Steering
Magnetic variable-effort power steering continuously adjusts Regal's precise rack-and-pinion
steering effort to your driving speed. As a result, Regal is easy to maneuver at lower speeds -
when parking, for example - and still provides tremendous "road feel" at highway speeds.
Anti-Lock Disc Brakes
- To help drivers maintain steering control on most slippery surfaces, especially under
hard braking, four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes are standard on every Regal.
Full-Range Traction Control
- The standard full-range traction control on Regal GS helps sense drive-wheel slippage
at any speed and automatically modulates the brakes and reduces engine torque until the
driver regains control.
Traction Control
- Regal's traction control improves driver confidence by maximizing traction on slippery
surfaces such as loose gravel, snow or ice. Full Range traction control is available on
Regal GS.
Gran Touring Suspension
- Regal's available Gran Touring suspension is a combination of special front and rear shock
absorbers, stabilizer bars, fast-ratio power steering and special tires. These elements
all work together to deliver the kind of firm, precise handling usually only associated
with the world's finest road cars. It's standard on Regal GS and available on Regal LS.
Four-Wheel Independent Suspension
- To help provide a sporty, controlled ride, Regal LS has a standard four-wheel independent
suspension with a front tower brace.
